April 4
I generally have longer titles to my blog post than this one, but “a day “seems to capture it perfectly. We did not plan the day except to get from where we started to the Sani Mountain Pass, where we are staying at a lodge more than 9000 feet above sea level. We drove for some 11 hours through fabulous scenery encountering life as it was being lived by those we met along our way. To me, it’s exactly what travel is all about. The one exception to this was that we had a planned stop to visit a village near the end of our drive. While that visit was not “bad,” it was the least successful part of the day and detracted from the rhythm of just living.
Here then is a short pictorial history of some of what we experienced.
What wonderful photos. Gorgeous colors, great expressions on subjects’ faces, and settings with such interesting details! Many compelling sites in Israel, too, but without an experienced and gifted photographer, such as yourself, to capture them.
Keep enjoying this exciting trip.
